Wyze vs Ring Overview
Wyze Labs, Inc., also known as Wyze is a U.S company founded in 2017 in Seattle by former Amazon employees. They have a specialty in wire-free cameras and smart home products. Ring owned by Amazon was founded in 2013 and is a recognized home security systems provider.
Both companies provide some similar products including Wi-Fi, Wire-free, Indoor and Floodlight cameras with Video Doorbells, and Security Sensors. Due to their low interoperability levels, these products only have a limited number of 3rd party devices they can work with.
Wyze has won the Readers’ Choice Award for its Video Surveillance Camera while the Ring Video Doorbell is an Editor’s Choice Award winner for Best Home Security Product. As these are consumer-grade tech, both Wyze and Ring products are pretty easy to install.
Both companies offer cloud subscriptions with their products. Their cloud subscriptions are seemingly optional but many product features are disabled without it.

Key Differences
The Wyze Cam V3 costs significantly less than the Ring spotlight camera and has a higher intelligence with additional vehicle, object, and animal detection algorithms.
The Ring camera is bullet-type weather-resistant while Wyze is a spotlight (70-lumen) camera with an IP65 rating.
Ring has a mount that is bought separately for the camera giving it a motorized 360° pan and 90° tilt angle.
